Make sure any pre-existing medical conditions are declared to avoid any problems in the event you need to make a claim.
Before you travel decide what payment options you will use, a credit card that gives excellent currency rates, prepaid credit cards or your debit card. Keep an eye on currency changes and buy currency at a good rate, never leave currency until you get to the airport the rates will always be lower.
Check out the local requirements for inoculations and when they should be administered. Ensure you have enough prescription medicine to cover for the duration of your trip. Make a list of sun creams, mosquito sprays and other lotions and potions you may need.

Lastly make sure you have all of your travel documents with you.
